The Expo was rather simple but they did have a super fun backdrop to take your photo for pre-race day preparation. The golden statues were perfection, Hollywood style.
I brought my good friend, John with me along for the ride. He completed his first 10k and had a blast. I filmed a hilarious 60 second video of the course and a couple of 360 degree selfies along the way.

Course Map
The course traversed up and and down the streets up and off of Hollywood Blvd that was not very scenic but got the job done. The positive part of courses such as this one is you're constantly seeing new people that are both in front and behind you as you're running, otherwise the course was kinda, rather...boring.

I walked the first 1 mile with John since this was his first race but still managed to complete right at 2 hours. We stayed at The W Hollywood which has nice accommodations but the service is a disappointment for what you would expect for The W. It was conveniently located one block from the finish line, and only .8 miles from the start, but like all things "Hollywood LA", there is just silliness you have to deal with.

It's doubtful I'll run this race again. This unfortunately is one of those one-and-done races that offers little in the way of reasons to return. The BIB pick up was disorganized, the Expo consisted of a few vendor tents in a grassy block of LA around the corner from the sponsoring running store and it just lacked the exciting energy of other races...in spite of a very loud DJ/MC that was doing his best to work the crowd.
